The 2008 DTS is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger luxury sedan, available in 5 trims, ranging from the V8 to the Performance.Upon introduction, the V8 is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 275-horsepower engine. The Performance is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 292-horsepower engine. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.

The 2008 DTS is a carryover from 2007.
